Yesssss Texas was great! Lots of parties, dranks, djs, bbq and walking miles. Best highlights of the whole SXSW would have to be the Unruly Baltimore Love party. Nadastrom, hands down took over that joint and made everyone bounce, bang, fight, throw beer cans, glass, cds, anything you could find was being flung around!
Right after seeing Nadastrom we walked to an even better party at this small small galllery with about 100 people snug super tight packed, full of sweat, beer, and amazing tribal house music. All from my homie DJ Select, which I had no idea even had that much house.
OK sooooooo I’m back in NYC and yes you know I have some parties to tell yall about!

We’ve had a long standing love for Sammy Rubin and Jeremy Haines aka Project Jenny, Project Jan. Their combination of live show, dance party, and visual stimulation has always blown people away at our parties and we thought it was well overdue to have them back. Their kinetic energy inspired Billboard to call Project Jenny, Project Jan’s live show a “shockingly dynamic, danceable, and hilarious affair” and VanityFair.com called the band “awesome” and enthusiastically recommended its show “to anyone with functional knee and elbow joints.” The duo’s originality impressed Ear Farm enough to name Project Jenny, Project Jan one of its top ten bands to watch out for in 2008. Sure enough, that year Project Jenny, Project Jan was featured in the film Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, performing their rowdy crowd-pleaser “Negative.”
Plus, joining us on the decks are NYC’s own electro-party mavens, Bradley D & VDRK of Famous Friends. These boys have been throwing parties and spinning all over the cityand with some big, big names lately and tonight they’ll bring that energy to Public Assembly with all your favorite indie and electro.
Plus, your hosts and resident Crooked Disco DJs, Morsy and Kestar – back from SXSW and fresh off an amazing new residency at Le Poisson Rouge (thanks for coming out!) hold it down with their trademark mix of Disco, Electro, Classic House, Good Hip-Hop, Baltimore Club, and Breaks (basically, whatever makes you move.)
