The reason for the name you ask? Well when this project first started, people where giving the tracks a LOVE/HATE relationship. saying “I love these songs but all Morsy’s doing is adding some 808’s and Claps to these classics” However if you take time to listen to the originals, you will actually notice the big differences (Bass, Synths, Cymbals, Hi-Hats, Snares, Compressions, EQ’s, etc). And yes my dear friend Mr. 808 has alot to do with it… Gotta love that BOOM BOOM to shake up your Room…

Lani here. Check out this video for “Paris” from the Friendly Fires. How sweet is the human kaleidoscope this video? I like the visuals and love the song. I’m a sucker for anything with the cowbell. No, but really, it’s a great song too. If you like it, you should check out their MySpace where you can stream a Aeroplane remix of the track.
This is our new party in Park Slope Brooklyn called PLAY DATE, Kicking off next Saturday, Nov.15th.
